WE NEED YOUR HELP for both Field Lacrosse and Box Lacrosse referees!

Age Requirement

Referees must be a minimum of fourteen (14) years of age during the year they wish to begin officiating. At age 14, officials will be assigned to paperweight, tyke and novice assignments, pending skill level.

Pre-requisites

Familiarity with game and rules of Lacrosse. Regardless of age, it is recommended that all prospective officials participate as timekeepers within their association to gain experience in the game environment.

Referee shirt, rulebook and situation handbook are provided at the clinic.

After refereeing 5 games for Milton Minor Lacrosse, referees are reimbursed for the cost of their clinic.

Equipment

Referees are required to wear the established uniform at all times while officiating. Referees are responsible for providing this equipment

The box lacrosse referee uniform is Black helmet, black pants, black running shoes, black socks and a metal finger whistle with a pea.

The field lacrosse referee uniform is black pants or shorts, black socks and a plastic finger whistle without a pea.
